How are wisdom teeth removed at Dr. Landau & associates?
Wisdom tooth removal is done by an experienced oral surgeon at our practice.
Before your treatment, your oral surgeon will discuss with you the surgical risks and options regarding the day the teeth will be removed, and will provide instructions on how to encourage the most optimal healing.
Any questions you have will be answered at that time, or whenever questions arise.
Usually, wisdom teeth are removed under local anesthetic. This means that the area is numbed so that you do not feel the tooth being extracted, but you are still awake.
Before going home, you will receive instructions for post-operative care, as well as any prescriptions that you may need. We will schedule a follow-up visit to check on your healing for one weeks’ time. Our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is available to answer any further questions.
