Knesset Approves Mandatory Fluoridation of Drinking Water
In March 2016, the Knesset approved mandatory water fluoridation throughout the country. Currently, in Jerusalem, and throughout the country, fluoride is not added to the water. In areas without fluoride in the water, such as throughout Israel right now, both the American Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association recommend the administration of fluoride tablets or drops to young children in certain situations.
